Contrast

\We want and need life to mean something. That's why we cling to pieces of it. Why we honor it with art and music. Why we spend so long trying to define it. We are all trying to see, define, and be able to hold life's value. But we cannot. In that I think Zen is right to an extent. Clinging does not make us closer. We have to be brave enough to admit that we cannot ever really understand or pinpoint that value by our own power. It is of God and only through him can it gain and define its value.
