still shot, Maria

warm and productive day, I hope!

Warm beautiful weather!
I got the ok to proceed with my new thesis statement so that's the plan for today! Yay! I am excited to get more work done on it...at the same time...I have an hour 'till dinner and here I am poking at my computer lazily, avoiding it! :p

Oh, and guess what I did at work? I cleaned glass for over an hour O.o; Owww my sinuses were cleared from the strong chemical cleaners! Uwaa!
But I also finished the cart of DVDs that I needed to find in OCLC and export bibliographic records for, and repaired two books that are in bad shape. It was a busy afternoon.

[Edit: 9.54pm]
I looked at the calendar and wanted to cry...my schedule scares me.
All I can do is keep up with things as they go - So, my thesis is looking better. I read up on Semimaru and the story of him and Hiromasa is so nice ^__^ Aww... Such a great little story. Waiting three years to share one evening with someone so close in heart and to finally learn something you'd been waiting so long for. No wonder it makes me happy^^
Even so, the schedule-thing has me in shock. guwaah....

Prince Sawara!

Well, I was going through my library books to return them and was looking through the Okagami for references to the Ministers who were in Hiromasa's timeline (Saneyori & Morosuke) but I got sidetracked!
I learned that Prince Sawara was a historical figure! ^___^ He lived at Todaiji temple in NARA but then got back into politics and was exiled for being suspected on a plot. He died and they built a tomb for him on AWAJI, but then moved the tomb to Yamato (Nara Pref.)
Ohh for Nara Period Japan! And yay for Awaji?! XD I knew that place wasn't wholly random^^
Poor Sawara...

Anyway, the research for my thesis tonight involved not only Semimaru, but work with the timeline. Ohhh Heian court titles...I have the important ones figured out for the most part, but, yuck they are long and confusing and kanji-ful. 右兵衛督 (Captain of the Right Watch), 右中将 (Middle Captain of the Right Palace Guards), 左中将 (Middle Captain of the Left Palace Guards). Oww my head. Thanks to franzeska for getting me even this far!
So does that make Hiromasa a 'chujo' like To no Chujo from Tale of Genji? :p

Mmm I wanna go back and learn more about Sawara *grin*
Awaji...awaji...where on Awaji?! I traversed every square inch of Awaji! (Well, almost. It felt like it, sometimes!) I don't remember hearing stories about a revengeful prince - just Izanagi stories. Which reminds me, is there an Izanami Shrine and where?
