Christmas is coming

We had our first Christmas play meeting last Wednesday and another tomorrow night. I am cast as the keeper of an orphanage of children. Our final script is not written yet, but it should be soon.
When I saw the cast list, though, I thought to myself, "Why does everybody always say I look like the motherly-type?" O.o?
I know I look identical to my mother and I always saw her as motherly,...but me? Do I, really? In the past, I never entertained the idea of being a mom. Now I am kind of wondering.

Well, it doesn't look like Christmas here, though it does at RIT, where my brother is studying. The ground is all white! I spied on it through the RIT campus cameras, which you can control via the internet. I told my brother to go outside and run around under the camera, but he wouldn't do it :P Well, it was 10:00pm at night with a temperature of about 0 degrees farenheit - heehee.

Before I can celebrate Christmas, I must finish finals. I don't expect to have much time besides now to think on Christmas for a while, so here we go! I take the plunge into finals-madness! :D

A warning (with an implied promise) I really need to keep in mind at the start of this Christmas season:

"For My people have committed two evils:
They have forsaken Me,
The fountain of living waters,
To hew for themselves cisterns,
Broken cisterns
That can hold no water."
Jeremiah 2:13
(John 4:1-26, Romans 6:23, John 7:38)

It's so easy to miss the point of Christmas.

"It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store? What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more?" -The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

I love the Grinch - the original animated version, that is. I watch it every year^^ It's a great story, though very hard to actually take to heart when, of course, I am excited about getting Christmas presents! Hmmm...

Plans and breaks

I worked on my 601 final all day until about an hour ago, when I did this:

I have been wanting to fix up my icky webpage layouts for a few days now and I have just started getting around to it. I stuck up two excepts from stories on the page until I actually get good content and links up.

Tomorrow is studying for another final, meeting with my comp sci group to finish our project, practicing the Christmas play, and online things.
Monday is work, Bible study (last one of the semester) and studying.
Tuesday is meeting with my advisor, a final, and presentation of my comp sci project.
Wednesday is finishing the 601 take home final.
Then I get a few days to cram for my comp sci final!! (And edit more webpages)
(That is some nice music)
