Support Network

One thing about being a Christian is that you have the best support network of brothers and sisters ^__^

My parents, of course, are praying for me and telling everyone in church to do the same! This is a great encouragement in times like these where schoolwork is driving me up a wall. Also, the members make us boxes of Christmas cookies and Easter chocolates around the holidays, which is great support! XD They sometimes send cards, too. They are all very kind.

My fellowship here at UBF is a group of about 10 people and we all try to keep each other in prayer and thought. After church we gather to share what we learned, difficulties we are facing, and victories we have won. If someone has a birthday, we all get to eat cake and sing Happy Birthday! Then the rest of the church fellowships come closer to get a piece :p They are all great people! (And congratulations to Sarah who just gave birth to her first son! :D Oh, and Tommy returned from his trip overseas and brought me back a souvenir! So sweet!)

Even the security man who I see sometimes is supportive! He greets me, "Hello sweet sister." :) It brightens my mornings when I head out of the apartment.

Even people overseas are not forgotten. Our church at home and in College Park keeps our missionaries in prayer and support them with funding. Ephesians 6:18 tells us to: "be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints."

I need to remember how much I appreciate prayer and more consistently pray for all the 60+ people I have drawn up on my board, among others. ^__~ I should respond to the grace and love of others in the right manner - with praise and thanks and intercession.

I want to be a woman of prayer.
