Flower's light

I walked past a patch of purple pansies on the way to work today. "See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." Matthew 6:28-29

The flowers shine in their radiant garments of color, woven from the most organic of the chemicals of the earth. They are created to bloom gloriously, and many enjoy their beauty. Now, what is color but a reflection of light? These flowers shine with beauty because they each reflect light in pure, unique, magical, and wondrous ways.

Likewise, a heart that dwells on good things, which acts out of sincere compassion, which speaks blessings and thinks prayers - that kind of heart is reflecting the Light of glory and blooms as perfectly as a flower. The Scriptures encourage Christians to reflect the light of Christ by listening to His words (reading the Bible), obeying his commands, and dwelling on things above.

Perfect beauty - is - perfect reflection - a - unique colorful wonder.
