Good morning

Sweet time in Deuteronomy 19 at 7:40. See how the Lord loves His people by helping them to live justly! He provides laws to guard them from breaking these specific commandments - You shall not murder. You shall not steal. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor (from Deut 5, NIV).

At the office, sending reporting instructions and taking ad hoc reporting requests. Small white mocha on hand for energy.

When the Scripture speaks of God writing His law on our hearts, is He referring to the fact that the Author of the law lives in the hearts of believers? In that sense the law is in our hearts because the Word Himself has established His dwelling in our hearts. Is this a correct understanding of the Old Testament promise and New Covenant reality?

Star Wars and Library Science

The next time I see a Stormtrooper, I need to ask about the empire's information management systems. They must have a lot of data to store and analyze!

I wonder what their archives, libraries, data centers, records management departments, data analysis, and reporting systems looked like. I'm sure Commander Jerjerrod had information professionals ready at hand in the building of the second Death Star. Ohhh, just think of all the primary sources that might have been generated in such a project - construction schematics, crew lists, invoices, systems documentation, etc... :)

Wow! According to Wookieepedia, the original Death Star had a library on Deck 106. The librarian there oversaw the conversion of documents to a format called phononic lattice storage. Super cool :D I must get the book which speaks of this...

Well, I just met the librarian. He's interesting, but I'm not sure if I would want to work for him. I guess I'll just have to keep reading to see what happens...
