Title: The Creator God makes Himself known
Paint a picture through song.
The Creation of all things, made by one Creator. He laid down the foundations of the earth. He formed the stars, the spheres, scattered the dust across space to catch the light and glisten in amazing colors. He drew the waters together, separated them apart, and thus prepared the canvas of the sky as well as the body of the sea. He shaped man and He Himself breathed life into him. To this watery globe, He brought forth life and gave them a place to live. The deep forests and the majestic heights. Roaring volcanoes and tiny wildflowers all sing praise to Him. He knows when and where the deer have their fawns (Job 39). The world is anew every day - new for us to explore. To march across the desert, feel the grit of the sand, view the heavens exposed. To reach up and smell the blossoms and feel the same wind that carries them away. A glass of pure crystal water, the glimpse of a butterfly, or the comedy of watching animals at play. This world is very much alive - and so is its Creator.
Such a mighty Creation can only be due to the hands of a mighty God. And where is God? How can we see Him or know Him? The Psalmist asks, "Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?"
And it answers: "He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false." When we seek God above all things, we will delight in Him. We already delight in His world, so we have some idea of His goodness, even while we by nature are set against Him. When we put God above all, trusting in His promises, seeking His kingdom, and loving Him with all our heart, mind, and strength, then we will know Him. We cannot find God with a heart that lacks faith. Let us have faith to believe in the need we have for Jesus and pray for guidance to see. To see ourselves, to see the truth, and to one day see him, our Savior, and have him welcome us home.
One Word: see the Creator God
