Living-stones, Truly

This morning I met with the pastor and some of my fellow students at UBF. We want to form a Praise-team. The pastor feels that it will be a great way to cooperate and grow together! It's a group of two or three girls and five guys. (I feel a bit outnumbered o_O)
Our group's name will be the 'Living stones' after two verses:

Luke 19:40 - "I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."

I Peter 2:5 ..."you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."

May we work together for the glory of God! This is the very goal of the Church! :)

-------------------------

I spent the rest of the day writing web forms in Cold Fusion for database class. Also, I looked over notes for Monday's lecture, which I am responsible for delivering! I suppose that if I can grade and lecture, I am not too far from being a professor.
Still...

Currently, I am listening to the Wise Buddha remix of Truly by Delerium. It's so good.

"I know good things, I know bad as well
Any witness of the world can tell

If there is sorrow, there is beauty and trust
A secret pearl inside the heart of us

So truly, if there's light then I want to see it
Now that I know what I am looking for
Truly, if there is joy, then I want to feel it
...
And if we're strangers here, from the day we are born
Why be afraid of freedom if it's yours?"

-----------------------

So much about stones and pearls, I must add a few more thoughts.

Megan means pearl.

Pearls grow layer by layer, gradually increasing in size, value, and beauty. By the grace of God, one layer at a time, He can transform me into something precious. Like Simon Peter, from sand to rock.

Pearls are counted among gemstones, but they are not formed of crystal. They are earthy and natural. I love this kind of organic beauty. It may not be elegant, but it is heart-felt and sincere.

Pearls cost a clam a lot of pain, though...
