Key Verses: 4, 14
One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
This is what I said yesterday, but not in so many words :) This is my growing hope. But until then...
Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.
This morning as I was fighting drowsiness I had a dream. I was doing homework with my group. I was very frustrated, but I calmed down and went to find a quieter place to do work on the project with a teammate. We went down a few floors and were greeted by two women all in gaudy attire and makeup. I passed by, trying not to pay attention, though they looked at me with vultures' eyes.
We went to the far side of the room and began to work. Then on the radio, Because He Lives came on. We all started singing - everyone in the room. Suddenly, the radio sputtered and stopped and everyone trailed off singing. Everyone but me. I kept singing, in a small voice. When it was over, they all commended me for knowing the song so well. I shook my head sadly, frustrated, and said - no, we sing this at my church all the time.
Then, the door next to us opened and some guys came in. They were chatting and I overheard one say in a clear voice: "I like the Old Testament."
I am not sure if I turned toward him or kept my eyes on the tiles in front of me when I asked, "Have you read it? Do you know it?"
And then I woke up.
