I sing praise to my Lord, for he is good. Though I am stubborn and weak, he still cares for me. He waits at the door, knocking, so I might let him in that we might dine together in fellowship (Revelation 3:20). He is eager to talk with me and to teach me. His voice, full of mercy and truth, speaks promises, parables, and prayers. He is always ready to listen, to turn his ear near and hear all the thoughts of my heart. How merciful and beautiful is the Lord. I will turn to him for comfort. I will look to him for strength. I will wait for him to direct my path. Forgive me, teach me, guide me, and comfort me, Lord! Praise the Lord, oh my soul, for his merciful and unfailing love!
