Trust and comfort in the Lord

I sing praise to my Lord, for he is good. Though I am stubborn and weak, he still cares for me. He waits at the door, knocking, so I might let him in that we might dine together in fellowship (Revelation 3:20). He is eager to talk with me and to teach me. His voice, full of mercy and truth, speaks promises, parables, and prayers. He is always ready to listen, to turn his ear near and hear all the thoughts of my heart. How merciful and beautiful is the Lord. I will turn to him for comfort. I will look to him for strength. I will wait for him to direct my path. Forgive me, teach me, guide me, and comfort me, Lord!
Praise the Lord, oh my soul, for his merciful and unfailing love!

Psalm 62:8
"Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Selah"

Hebrews 4:16
"Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."

1 Peter 5:6-7
"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you."
