Rainy day work and preparations

The pieces of the program have finally come together and I now have direct access it. I can run my own tests, mark the results, and make improvements to the code/taxonomy. It's a really nice system and I am starting to get the hang of it. I'll be working with it more tomorrow, as I did today, to get the results of the current test to perform better.

I got my "code practice oscillator" kit in the mail! I haven't had time to lay out and take inventory on all the pieces, but it looks like they are all there. Dad and I are going to solder it together tomorrow so I can finally practice Morse Code. Let's hope we don't break, melt, or lose anything before it gets assembled...

It's been cold and rainy all day today. I feel like crawling under the covers and hiding until the sun comes back. My parents spent the morning at yard sales, looking for furniture and other apartment supplies. My brother will be coming home next week and then it will only be another week until the big move - him north and me south. Things will only get more interesting!

As for now, I am pretty tired. We just played pinochle, ate too much ice cream, and I've worried enough about getting my radio license and equipment questions settled. No doubt, everything will work out in time! However, now is the time for bed.
