Wings of refuge

Psalm 36:7
"How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings."

When there is nothing left to say, all one can give is the quiet presence of love that covers them with care. And all one can take is a loving arm that pulls them close and shadows them from the storm. Our hearts, like wings, shield one another from the rain; and His wings, spare us from the shadow of the fear of death. He does not lose a single one of His own.

"My sheep listen to my voice;
I know them, and they follow me.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;
no one can snatch them out of my hand.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all;
no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand.
I and the Father are one." John 10:27-30

Even so, Jesus still wept at Lazarus' death.
