Daily bread

When I am late in catching a meal, I tend to get rather cranky and edgy until I have food in my stomach. Likewise, if I go for a while without a serving of God's Word, I become rather ungrateful and cranky. No wonder the Word is called the bread of life! It's a wholesome diet for a runner in the race of faith. (John 6:32-48; Hebrews 12:1-2)

God is great, God is good
Let us thank Him for our food
By His hands we now are fed
Give us, Lord, our daily bread. Amen.
