Woke up with a sore, swollen spot in my throat yesterday. The same thing had happened a few weeks ago and it cleared up within a few hours. So, I continued about my normal routine and went to work. By 10 am, I was sitting at my desk shivering with a fever. I was stubborn and figured that it would probably pass in a short time, but by 11 am, I couldn't even steadily manipulate the mouse. I decided to call it a day. After checking with my boss and sending him the files that he needed for Tuesday, I started off for home.

I'm not quite sure how I made it home, but as soon as I did, I collapsed on the couch and fell asleep. Woke up an hour later only to go back to sleep again for the rest of the afternoon. At dinner time I managed to eat almost half an apple and about 3 bites of matzo, then rested more. I went to bed early and slept 12 hours, and by this morning, the worst of the high fever was gone. My whole body feels exhausted and achy, especially my head, but I was able to eat some for lunch and drink a little more. I've been resting and hope that my body will regain its strength soon. Still, it doesn't look like I will make it into work tomorrow. Just getting from here to the other rooms tires me out.
