George Wolf at Fredericksburg

Just a quick note on my ancestor, George Wolf.

It looks like he was in the last division to charge across the field to the wall at Marye's Heights. His regiment belonged to General Humphrey's division (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fredericksburg_Union_order_of_battle), sent into battle just after Griffin's division in the late afternoon of the 13th of December. The 20th Maine belonged to Griffin's division. The 20th Maine was later led by Col. Chamberlain and a dramatization of his involvement in the battle of Fredericksburg can be seen in the movie Gods and Generals. I just watched that movie a few weeks ago and had a hard time understanding how anyone could have survived that attack. I can't imagine.
