Prophecy: Malachi 3:1

After the recent Hebrews study, I grew curious to find out which of the Old Testament prophecies were fulfilled in Jesus' first coming. I have a list, so I thought I'd take one at a time to read. For starters:

Malachi 3:1a
“Behold, I send My messenger,
And he will prepare the way before Me..."

Mark 1:1-2, 4
"The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in the Prophets:
'Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way before You.
"...John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins."

Matthew 11:7-10 (A similar passage is found in Luke 7:24-27)
"As they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: 'What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings' houses. But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. For this is he of whom it is written:
"Behold, I send My messenger before Your face,
Who will prepare Your way before You

Luke 1:67, 76
"Now his [John's] father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:
'...And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest;
For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways,'"
