Psalm 3: 5 R's

In studying Psalm 3 this morning, I found a pattern for action when confronted with overwhelming situations.

1. Realize that I'm becoming overwhelmed (fearful, troubled, despairing, complaining)
2. Remember who God is and what He has done, is doing, will do
3. Relate/Report my situation and needs to God
4. Rest in the Lord, entrusting the situation to Him
5. Repeat as needed :)

Realize - "LORD, how they have increased who trouble me!" (v.1)
Remember - "But You, O LORD, are a shield for me" (v.3)
Relate/Report - I cried to the LORD with my voice" (v.4)
Rest - "I lay down and slept...I will not be afraid..." (v.5-6)
Repeat - "Save me, O my God!" (v.7)
