Blessed times

This weekend was blessed in many ways. First, my family came into town. It is always a joy to see them and to spend time with them. I really enjoyed the pretzel dessert that mom saved for us and the wine that they got in Rochester. I think my favorite part of the weekend was our conversation last evening. We all sat around the living room, reflecting on the disciples, the grace of God, and the first year of our Lord's public ministry. My heart felt at rest in the Beloved among my beloved. Of course, Thai food for lunch on Saturday was delicious. It was exciting to introduce Dad and Matt to pad thai chicken :) And even the window repair work on Friday night was fun as I ran back and forth with paper towels, the vacuum cleaner, and trash bags. I'm so thankful that they had a safe trip back home. While they traveled, I slept the afternoon away.

This evening, I watched Prince of Egypt. I absolutely love that movie. It stirred up such comfort meditating on the heart of Moses (Hebrews 11:24-29), the faithfulness of God (Exodus 3:6), and the power of Salvation (Exodus 12:13). After the movie, I wanted nothing more than to simply come to the great I AM in prayer. He is Wonderful (Isaiah 9:6).

And here at the end of the day, I have two new icons and a quick post in reflection. I hope you all have a peaceful and pleasant weekend.
