A Geneva Bible is in the mail on its way to PA.
Visitors, cards, prayers, food, emails, and phone calls testify to 1 John - especially those from strangers who are family from a better country.
The little blue audio device speaks to me the law of Moses as I munch of avacado salad.
My notebook is beginning to fill up with Biblical Greek-Spanish-Russian-Croatian vocab. (I couldn't find a non-PDF Japanese Bible online, which explains why 日本語 is not on the list.)
My Spanish-English Bible is on my desk at work.
The NIV has the gospel highlighted here in Paul's writings, there in Peter's writings.
The NKJV red-letter sub-highlighting helps me to quickly find passages on the Sabbath.
The Matthew-OT reference notecards haven't been finished yet. I reached Isaiah.
Finally remembered to bring the Hebrew Primer - may I understand the richness of these beautiful words more deeply!
The word is right (Psalm 33:4).
The word is pure (Psalm 119:140).
The word is truth (Psalm 119:160, John 17:17).
The word is light (Psalm 119:105).
The word is reliable (2 Samuel 22:31, John 10:35, 2 Peter 1:19).
The word is enduring (Psalm 119:89, Isaiah 40:8, 1 Peter 1:23).
The word is living (1 Peter 1:23, Hebrews 4:12).
The word is powerful (Hebrews 4:12, Jeremiah 23:29, Mark 4:41).
The word is effective (Isaiah 55:11).
The word is life-giving (Psalm 33:6, Psalm 119:50, Ezekiel 37, Hebrews 11:3).
The word is joy-giving (Psalm 119:162, Jeremiah 15:16).
The word is hope-giving (Psalm 119:114).
The word is my love (Psalm 119:140).
The word which came to the prophets.
The word which was recorded by Moses.
The word which was taught by Jesus.
The word which commanded all things into being.
"He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God." (Rev 19:13)
Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. (1 John 2:24)
But He answered and said to them, "My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it." (Luke 8:21)
I want to know the word of God.
I want to keep the word of God.
I want to teach the word of God (2 Cor 2:17).
I want to help translate the word of God.
What can I do? Where can I go?
Or need I only ask?
Why don't I cling to it more tightly than I do already? Thank you for Your word, Father.
