Basic revelation

This past week, I came to a very basic revelation: I need to pray for God's work. Yes, I work. I volunteer with a number of different activities during the week to see that God's word is shared and studied. Yet, I seemed to have forgotten that this is not my work. True, I am responsible for sewing the seed and for watering the seed; but I forgot that "neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." 1 Corinthians 3 The thought struck me, "Megan, if you're sewing or watering, you also need to be PRAYING that God would 'make things grow'!"

What a basic revelation :) Praise God! And so, in accordance, I rearranged my prayer schedule to include prayer for spiritual planting and watering activities.

"All good gifts around us
Are sent from heaven above,
Then thank the Lord, O thank the Lord
For all His love." We Plow the Fields
