In Him, For Him

My prayer is to live under the Lordship of Christ. I want to understand His creation, to understand where I come from, what I've been given, what I've been saved from, the life that I have in Him. I want neither suffering for the sake of suffering nor pleasures for the sake of pleasure but joy in all circumstances - joy that is rooted in Him. I want Him to write His words on my heart, to show me wondrous things in His word, and to put His praise in my mouth. I want to pray the Scriptures to Him, speak the Scriptures to my brethren, and share the Scriptures with those who are yet dead in Adam. I want the word to bring life to my soul and to bring life to other's souls. I want the word to bring me closer to Him and to bring others closer to Him.

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength." Deuteronomy 6:4

"Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4
