Why is death an enemy?

Why is death an enemy? Because "...death cannot praise You..." Isaiah 38:18

"The last enemy that will be destroyed is death." 1 Corinthians 15:26
"He will swallow up death forever..." Isaiah 25:8

"What profit is there in my blood,
When I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise You?
Will it declare Your truth?" Psalm 30:9

The profit in my blood - the profit of my life - is that I can praise the God of heaven. "For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen." Romans 11:36

"The dead do not praise the Lord,
Nor any who go down into silence.
But we will bless the Lord
From this time forth and forevermore.
Praise the Lord!" Psalm 115:17-18

"Hear, O kings! Give ear, O princes!
I, even I, will sing to the Lord;
I will sing praise to the Lord God of Israel." Judges 5:3

But even in life, I can be as though dead. "And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses..." Colossians 2:13 "I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah...I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people...For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more." Jeremiah 31:31-34

"O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise." Psalm 51:15
