Time with Psalm 73

Excerpts from Psalm 73 this morning -

"Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart.
But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled...

When I thought how to understand this,
It was too painful for me -
Until I went into the sanctuary of God;
Then I understood...

...my heart was grieved,
And I was vexed in my mind.
I was so foolish and ignorant;
I was like a beast before You.
Nevertheless I am continually with You;
You hold me by my right hand.
You will guide me with Your counsel,
And afterward receive me to glory."

I get so caught up in the work of problems to solve, the never-ending to do's, the act of harmonizing in social situations to diffuse stressful emotions, and the process of recovery from all those other things that I forget God. "I was so foolish" because "the fool says there is no God" and that's how I default in navigating the day to day moments because I just can't seem to remember so many things at once. But this Psalm tells me that I am continually with God. When I turn back to Him and repent, he forgives and heals me. "You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory." Lord, help me to remain in You and to somehow in the midst of the overwhelming multi-tasking of life, to look to You and hope in You. "It is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all Your works." Psalm 73:28 "O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise." Psalm 51:15

אדני שפתי תפתח ופי יגיד תהלתך

It's not too late / To turn around
We can be free / If you know how
We run too fast ... We rush too hard ... It's time ... To slow it down
