This past Christmas was a delightful one :) My brother and sister-in-law came to spend the weekend with us and celebrate the day. We enjoyed some rest and relaxation along with wonderful presents and delicious home cooked meals. It was nice to all be together, to play Apples to Apples, Scrabble, color, take walks in the sunshine, and take naps by the light of the tree. And most importantly, we worshiped the Savior who came and is coming again! I got a chance to read from Isaiah chapter 7 at the Christmas Eve service and light candles with both Matt and Shelby. The choir sung beautifully, too. On Sunday morning we all sang carols, rang the church bells, and Dad preached about King Jesus. Thanks so much to my parents for making this a blessed Christmas holiday <3
(Dad, I'm sorry we missed you in the photo. Next year, we'll have to take the pictures before you leave to set up church ^_^)
On Monday, Nathan came and spent the week with us. We had a blast watching The Avengers, Iron Man 3, and then (because I couldn't get enough) Thor: The Dark World. We also played Lego Avengers - exploring Manhatten and SHIELD bases, recruiting Valkyries in Asgard, and fighting Dark Elves from Svartalfheim - lots of elves, haha. We also ate out at some of our favorite places and exchanged gifts and worked on crafts together. It was a wonderful week <3
And now it's 2017. I'm back to work, back to my morning coffee run, and filling in my calendar for January.
