Rainy Day Friday

Rainy day lunch at Subway to wrap up a long week.

Mom's surgery went well and I'm so glad she's recovering *hugs* :) Thanks to Dad for being there to take care of her at the hospital and at home. And thanks also to a mother/sister from church who made us dinners this week. I'm so glad that we didn't have to worry about cooking - such a blessing - and the cards and flowers are so cheerful around the house^^

This Monday, I was transferred to a new team and given some new responsibilities. I think it's been starting well. Also been reading Numbers chapter 2 and looking at the family histories and prophecies that mention the sons of Jacob. In particular, I've been interested in the places that Issachar has been mentioned (wages, a donkey, land, mandrakes, knowing the times, etc). Hope to dig more into that soon.

The mornings have been beautiful. One day this week, the sky was dancing ribbons of pink and a pair of turkey vultures were already aloft at 7:30 while I drove down to Snyder County. Last evening, the sky was covered in dark grey swelling clouds, but at the horizon, there were horizontal wisps of cream and grey - so beautiful.

It's been about a month since I was sick, and I think I'm finally back in the swing of things. Back to morning stops at Panera for coffee and walks downtown for a sandwich for lunch. The 40 minute drive home and evenings with my family. I'm thankful for all of these.
