The Oath of God

I had a thought this evening about the three women in the Scriptures who were named "the oath of God" - Elisheba, Jehoshabeath, and Elizabeth. I've noticed before that all three were married to the priest in their day (Elisheba was the wife of Aaron, Jehoshabeath was the wife of Jehoiada, and Elizabeth was the wife of Zachariah) and that they each lived at the time of a different manifestation of the temple (Elisheba during the time of the tabernacle, Jehoshabeath during the time of the first temple, and Elizabeth during the time of the second temple). Something new that came to mind this evening was this -

Elisheba lived during the time when God formed the nation of Israel.
Jehoshabeath lived during the time when God preserved the line of Messiah in Israel.
Elizabeth lived during the time when Messiah came to the nation of Israel.

Creation, expansion/preservation, and return. Interesting :)

Thank You, Father, for establishing Your People and sending Messiah to dwell among us. May that day come soon when all is fulfilled and Christ Jesus returns to establish His kingdom of righteousness on the earth. Maranatha. Come, Lord Jesus!

"Blessed is the Lord God of Israel,
For He has visited and redeemed His people,
And has raised up a horn of salvation for us
In the house of His servant David,
As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets,
Who have been since the world began,

That we should be saved from our enemies
And from the hand of all who hate us,
To perform the mercy promised to our fathers
And to remember His holy covenant,
The oath which He swore to our father Abraham:

To grant us that we,
Being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
Might serve Him without fear,
In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life." Luke 1:68-75
